Brief Description:

Papers of Samuel A. Bullard (1853-1926), Class of 1878, including a letter to Mr. Wesley Bullard, his father, asking for money to cover his expenses at Illinois Industrial University including references to a loan from Prof. Edward Snyder, the scheduled dedication exercises for University Hall and family matters and an itemized list of expenditures from Sept. 15 to Nov. 12, 1873.

The series includes the matriculation certificate (1874) and a LaSalle County teachers certificate (1877-1881) of Elsie Cornelia Elliott Bullard '81.  The record series also includes Mr. Bullard's notes on John M. Gregory's lectures on Mental Science for the fall term of 1877 (44 pp).
