Ernest Newland (1903-1992), Professor of Educational Psychology (1951-71), includes biographical information, publications and related correspondence, speeches given at meetings and conferences, consulting records, the development of the Blind Learning Aptitude Test (BLAT), and information regarding his professional work as a professor at the University of Tennessee, Bucknell University, Ohio State University, and Kansas State Teachers College and as the Director of the Division of Special Education in the Pennsylvania State Department of Public Instruction (1937-42).
