Brief Description: Papers of Mark Naoumides, Professor of Classics (1960-1975), containing research notes on the provenance of Lexicon of St. Cyril (fifth-century), an unfinished project aimed at publishing an authoritative first edition. This series also includes collations and recensions of the 200+ extant manuscript versions of the Lexicon; biographical material, lists of Naoumides' publications, vita, grants (1964-1974); acquisition files, including letters and receipts related to search for Cyrillus materials; subject file with notes, copies of manuscripts, draft recensions and collations of lexical material; reference cards with lexical notations; publication reprints and a copy of Dr. Naoumides' dissertation.
