Papers of Benjamin Jones (1926-2015) (B.S. 1949, M.S. 1950, Ph.D. 1958), Professor of Agricultural Engineering 1952-92, and Associate Director of the Illinois Agricultural Experiment Station 1973-92, including the minutes and working papers for the North Central Agricultural Experiment Station Directors' Meetings (1973-86), minutes and working papers of the Committee of Nine (advisory committee to the Secretary of the USDA) (1974-82), and the minutes of the Experiment Station Committee on Organization and Policy (1979-82).
A second accession was added in spring 2019. These materials consist of awards, correspondence, photographs and slides, publications, as well as Alpha Epsilon Honor Society files. They are organized into five series. Series 1: Personal Papers and Awards, 1950-2012, CV listed first and then arranged alphabetically; Series 2: Professional Papers, 1944-2011, arranged alphabetically; Series 3: Photographs and Slides, ca. 1920s-1980s; Series 4: Alpha Epsilon Honor Society 1963-2009, listed alphabetically; Series 5: Publications, with articles arranged chronologically, then followed by three class textbooks.
