Brief Description: Papers of Brian W. Voth (1928-99, B.S.E.E. 1957), Research Assistant (1957-60), Research Associate and Research Engineer (1960-66), and Research Engineer (1966-69) for the Coordinated Science Laboratory and Computer-Based Education Research Laboratory; containing design drawings, calculations, data, and photographs for the slide scanners of the PLATO systems 1-3 largely developed by Voth (1960-62), the physical layout of the PLATO III System developed by Voth and D. Diamond (1961-68), the Shared Hardware Audio Response System invented by Voth (1965-69), the Plasma Panel (1965-68), and the Photo Cathode Ray Tube (1966-67). Also contains patent papers associated with the Shared Hardware Audio Response System (1967-70, 1984), a resume, and a detailed transmittal list with background information on the PLATO System, SHARS, Plasma Panel, and Photo CRT.
