Description: Papers of Charles H. Johnston (1877-1917), professor of education (1913-17) and dean (1917) of the School of Education, consisting of reprints of articles on psychological matters, secondary education and teacher training. The papers include a November 24, 1908 letter from Edward Titchener, photocopies of a July 7, 1902 letter from William James and a May 7, 1903 appointment to a Harvard fellowship. A December, 1917, memorial number of Educational Administration and Supervision, which Johnston edited, contains several biographical sketches.
