Biographical Note for University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. College of Medicine :

The School of Basic Medical Sciences (Urbana-Champaign) was established by the Board of Trustees as of August 1, 1970, by action taken July 22, 1970, the school provides basic science instruction. Board of Trustees Transactions, 56th Report, July 22, 1970, p. 9. The board approved the affiliation agreements with hospitals in Champaign (Burnham), Urbana (Carle and Mercy), and Danville (U.S.V.A.) on April 21, 1971. Board of Trustees Transactions, 56th Report, April 21, 1971, p. 272. The Trustees approved similar affiliation agreements between September 20, 1972 and February 18, 1976 with twenty hospitals.
