Letterpress copybooks of Vice President Thomas J. Burrill (9/9/01 to 5/18/05 and 1/27/09 to 1/21/10) containing outgoing correspondence of Vice President Burrill who also served as chairman of the Edward Snyder Loan Fund Committee and, in 1909, as chairman of the Board of Directors of the Y.M.C.A. Correspondence with Presidents Draper and James, the deans, faculty and student relates to student loans, faculty salaries and appointments, recommendations for positions, fellowships, operation of university streets and buildings, use of rooms, botanical subjects. laboratory investigations of bacilli and typhoid tests.

Significant letters concern considerations affecting the choice of a new president, 4/04; a biography of Selim H.
