The more extensive studies cover Radical and Labor Press in Chicago to 1890 (1949), An Inter-Disciplinary Approach to the Study of Labor-Management Relations (1950), Labor-Management Relations in Illini City (1953-54), Legislation by Collective Bargaining (1951), Channels of Employment (1952), National Economic Planning (1954), Small City Job Markets (1958), U.S. Participation in the I.L.O. (1959) and The Local Union-Management Relationship (1960), reports on joint labor-management cooperation from the Management Education Program (1975-82), and Leadership and Manpower Training Program for Spanish-Speaking Unionists (1976).

Biographical Note for University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Labor and Industrial Relations :

Established in 1945,1 the Institute of Labor and Industrial Relations is responsible for fostering and coordinating education, extension, and research activities in labor and industrial relations, including advisory research and information services.2 In 1946, the name Institute for Labor Relations was changed to Institute for Labor and Industrial Relations.3 In 2008, the Institute was redesignated the School of Labor and Employment Relations.4 It offers graduate, professional and extension training for labor, management and civic groups.5 The Chicago Labor Education Program was established to help union leaders improve their leadership skills.6
