Description: The Nick Holonyak, Jr. Papers, Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering (1963- ), contain the transcription of an interview with Nick Holonyak conducted by Frederik Nebeker on 22 June 1993. Holonyak primarily discusses the work of Bardeen, Brattain, and Shockley on the transistor, and also his own work with John Moll at Bell Telephone Laboratories in the late 1950's. Includes autobiographical information.
