Manuscript special report on the action of the faculty on military affairs by Regent Selim H. Peabody, read before the trustees on March 11, 1891 and printed on pages 81-87 of the 1890-92 Trustees Report. In the report, the Regent reviewed the case of William G. Miller who was removed from command of a company because of low grades, included transcripts of student petitions, stated his position concerning student charges and faculty actions and listed "pertinent" questions.
The series includes a typewritten copy of the manuscript and two typewritten copies of the students' petition to the trustees for relief from the actions of the Regent and the faculty.
