Howard Osborn was a Professor of Mathematics at the University of Illinois from 1956 until 1993, and Professor Emeritus after his retirement. He was also an accomplished musician with a long career as a violist and violinist at the Champaign-Urbana Symphony.
Howard Osborn's papers include course materials, research notes, research-related correspondence, as well as his unpublished papers and some of his articles and books.
This collection is arranged into two series: Series 1: Subject Files, 1951-1990, arranged alphabetically; Series 2: Publications, 1954-1992, listing unpublished papers and published works, each arranged chronologically.
